Shakira, Don Omar, and Peso Pluma came together, alongside other Latin artists to bring music and culture as one over a two-day span from May 24-25, 2025 at Grant Park. People of all backgrounds came to enjoy some food, merchandise, and music. There was a variety of food options such as Prime Tacos, Cafe Tola, and Gaby’s Funnel Cake.
There were also different activities such as three performing stages where people can hear banda and pop music. A ferris wheel was also included, as well as a backdrop for photoshoots for people to take selfies with their friends and family. People from across the city traveled to Grant Park to make memories and experience a once in a lifetime event having legendary reggaeton artists and new artists come together to perform.
One of the most outstanding performances was Peso Pluma. He had backup dancers with a choreographed routine planned and brought out special guests, including El Alfa and Jaisel Nunez. Pluma’s performance lasted more than an hour, as he got the crowd up and energetic.
Pluma sang different songs like Quema, Lady Gaga, and Rubicon that were a mix of reggaeton and corridos, one of which was Nueva Vida, which is a nod to his new life as an established star and how he embraces life through music..
Due to last year’s inclement weather, Peso was unable to perform. Therefore, his highly anticipated comeback had to be stronger this time . Peso performed one of his most popular songs called Lagunas alongside Jasiel Nunez which is about the reflection and memories of an old love.
This being a Latin event, Pluma’s impact towards the Mexican community has inspired young people to follow their dreams and showcase how we can start from the bottom and work our way up. Suenos brings people together from many walks of life to share their love of music.
Next year’s edition of Suenos will take place on May 23-24, 2026 in Grant Park and it’s definitely something to look forward to!
