The Independent is a public forum for the university and the community surrounding Northeastern Illinois University and its satellite campuses, El Centro in the Logan Square community and Jacob C. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies in Bronzeville.
We are currently recruiting for our student newspaper, with this application being one way of connecting with different NEIU students around Chicago and the Chicagoland area. As the Independent is student run, we are primarily looking for current NEIU students for these positions. We do have other options for those that are alumni, community members, ectera to contribute with the newspaper.
