“Mighty Ducks” star arrested for burglary while allegedly high on meth

41-year-old Shaun Weiss, best known for playing Goldberg in the “Mighty Ducks” series, was arrested in Marysville, Calif. Sunday for residential burglary and being under the influence of a controlled, according to Marysville police.
Weiss, who has battled substance abuse issues in the past, was reportedly discovered at 7 a.m. local time by a Marysville resident while sitting in the homeowner’s vehicle.
According to police, Weiss admitted that neither the residence not the vehicle belonged to him. Police also suspect that Weiss was under the influence of meth amphetamine. Officers transported Weiss to Yuba County Jail, where he is being held on a $52,500 bond. He is charged with being under the influence of meth and residential burglary.
A press release posted to the Marysville Police Department’s Facebook read, “The homeowner said he was the only person that lived at this residence and no one had permission to be inside. Weiss forced entry to gain access into the vehicle by shattering a window. Officers noticed shattered glass on the ground and observed that the passenger window to the vehicle was broken. Officers ordered the male out of the vehicle and took him into custody.”

Weiss was also arrested in Oroville, Calif., in 2018 for “erratic behavior,” with officers stating that they suspected he was under the influence of drugs. He was held in a prison cell for a few hours before being released without charges, which is routine procedure according to Oroville police Lt. Chris Nicodemus. No blood sample was taken.
Weiss is also known for his roles in “Pee-wee’s Playhouse,” “Heavyweights” and “Freaks and Geeks.”
