Police Blotter

January:

NEIU campus police encountered six cases of Motor Vehicle Offenses in which the driver’s license was suspended/revoked or there was no driver’s license.

There was one case of Theft $300 and Under, involving a stolen purse from inside a desk drawer.

There were two cases of Theft Over $300 in January, concerning a stolen laptop and a lost cell phone.  An unknown female stole an unattended laptop in one case. GPS tracking located the missing phone at the information lost and found desk, resolving the second case.

 

There was one case of a fighting disturbance on campus, concerning the exact location of a class.

One subject was arrested and transported to lockup over one case of Possession of Cannabis—30 Grams or Less during a routine traffic stop.

 

February:

There were four causes on and around the NEIU campus of Motor Vehicle Offenses in which the drivers’ licenses were suspended/revoked during the first half of the month of February.

An unattended coat was stolen in one case of Theft $300 and Under this month.

An NEIU police officer witnessed a subject cutting a blunt at a gas station, resulting in one case of Possession of Cannabis—30 Grams or Less so far for February.
