The Old Irving Park Association (OIPA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, all-volunteer community group that has been active on Chicago’s northwest side since 1983.
OIPA’s goal is to maintain and beautify the community as well as host community events for Old Irving Park’s residents to get to know one another. For example, in August OIPA held a volunteer summer work day to clean up a garden. The organization helps the Old Irving Park residents by providing residents with a list of links to neighborhood organizations such as churches and non-profits. OIPA helps by sponsoring street pole banners for traffic and zoning issues.
The best way to contact the organization is by emailing them, joining their interactive community Google group visit, and through their Facebook page. Anyone interested in getting involved with the organization can join through their website. Anyone wanting to volunteer can join the organization’s “Keep OIP Clean” Movement, which is designed to make Old Irving Park a vibrant place to live and visit.
