During the week of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, several Independent editors were reporting with Pacifica Network, turning in daily audio clips and scripts for nightly broadcasts. This project also had the involvement of WORT 89.9 FM in Madison, Wisconsin, Lumpen Radio, WLPN-LP 105.5 FM in Chicago,  and WBAI 99.5 FM in New York City.

Several of the topics covered were the impact the DNC had on Chicago, with several protests throughout the week and different events within the two locations of the DNC (United Center and McCormick Place).
