Police Blotter

The following offenses occurred on NEIU’s main campus between Sept. 18 and Oct. 8.

1. E-Building, Sept. 18, an unknown offender wrote graffiti on bathroom walls in men’s bathroom.

2. P.E. Building, Sept. 20, an unknown offender stole cash from a purse unattended in an unlocked office.

3. Library, Sept. 22, an unknown offender wrote graffiti in the elevator.

4. P.E. Building, Sept. 25, fire alarm accidently went off by mechanical work taking place in building.

5. P.E. Building, Sept. 29, fire alarm went off, unknown what caused the alarm to be activated.

6. Bernard Brommel Hall, Oct. 1, unknown offender wrote graffiti on radiator in stairwell.

7. Library, Oct. 1, an unknown offender wrote graffiti on toilet paper dispenser in women’s bathroom.

8. Lech Walesa Hall, Oct. 3, an unknown offender scratched mirrors and damaged soap dispenser.

9. B-Building, Oct. 6, an unknown offender wrote graffiti on toilet paper dispenser.

5324 N. Kimball Avenue, Oct. 8, two state citations and I-bond were issued for no valid drivers license or insurance. (Not Mapped)

The following offenses occurred on NEIU’s El Centro campus and are not mapped:

El Centro, Oct. 3, fire alarm went off during sprinkler system work. Person trapped in elevator rescued.

El Centro, Oct. 6, guard observed male grab females arm during dispute, she refused to sign complaints.
