My Chemical Romance announce U.S. tour, Riot Fest date

My Chemical Romance announced their first U.S. tour in nine years, including a stop at Riot Fest in Chicago, Ill.

The band teased a major announcement through a series of ominous videos posted to social media. Hours later, they added a second video, even more cryptic in nature, providing fans with a hint at which cities they would visit.

Wednesday morning, My Chemical Romance released the full “A Summoning…” video, confirming fans suspicions and setting social media ablaze.

My Chemical Romance’s comeback show at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Calif. was a resounding commercial success, selling out within an hour and setting a venue record with a gross just shy of $1.5 million

Riot Fest kicks off on Sept  11, 2020, and runs through Sept. 13. Early bird three-day tickets for Riot Fest are currently available at $139.98. According to the band’s website, My Chemical Romance is scheduled to play Sept. 12. Tickets for the the U.S. tour go on sale Friday, Jan. 31.
