Hip Hop Knights took place at Northeastern Illinois University on Sept. 29, 2012, featuring live graffiti art creation on the university commons, DJ’ing, live performances and 3-on-3 b-boy and b-girl dance battles in Alumni Hall. In collaboration with NEIU’s Hip Hop Organization and The University of Hip Hop, the event proved a success as it brought together artists and fans to the campus, spawning a diverse and energetic atmosphere. The graffiti wall, made of plastic, remained on campus for about a week, allowing students to observe the process and capture the result artwork on film after event.
