On March 14, at 10:22AM, NEIUPD began an investigation involving a student receiving harassing telephone messages on campus.

On March 28, at 2:57PM, a 14-year old male was trespassing at the P.E. Building. This was the second time in two weeks for the 14-year old. He was warned and released.

– Motor Vehicle

On March 17,at 2:20PM, NEIUPD pulled over a motor vehicle at 5300 N. Kimball for failure to yield at an intersection. Two citations and one bond were issued for the driving violation and for driving with a suspended license.

On March 21, at 2:29PM, NEIUPD pulled over a motor vehicle on 5150 N. Pulaski for improperly displaying their license plate. The driver of the vehicle was issued three citations and one bond for not having valid car insurance, driving with a suspended driver’s license and improperly displaying the license plate. The car was towed.

On March 28, at 1:11PM, NEIUPD pulled over a suspect at Kimball and Foster for expired registration. The suspect was also driving without car insurance and a driver’s license. The car was towed.

– Possession of Cannabis

On March 22, at 12:40PM, a suspect was arrested at 5900 N. Kimball for possession of suspected cannabis. The suspect was arrested and transported to the 20th district of the Chicago Police Department for lock up.

On March 27, at 10:44AM, in Parking Lot J, NEIUPD arrested one person for possession of suspect cannabis. The suspect was arrested and transported to the 20th district of the Chicago Police Department for lock up.

On March 29, at 12:45PM, at Bernard and Thorndale one person was arrested for possession of suspect cannabis. The suspect was arrested and transported to the 20th district of the Chicago Police Department for lock up.

– Theft less than $300

On March 16, at 2:02PM, an unknown offender stole a victim’s purse after it was left unattended in the library.

On March 26, at 11:20AM, at Lech Walesa Hall a student’s purse was stolen after it was left behind in class. A witness said an unknown classmate might have taken the purse.

On March 26, at 7:17PM, in front of the P.E. Building an unknown offender stole a bike seat.

On March 28, at 1:00PM, in the E-Building an unknown offender stole a victim’s cell phone from a locked office.

– Theft more than $300

On March 27, at 11:01PM, an unknown offender stole an unchained bike from the parking garage.
